Digestive system and teeth.
Incisors - front teeth, their job is to cut whatever goes in our mouth. 4/4 Canine - They are the sharp teeth almost like fangs, they are used to stab whatever goes in our mouth. premolars - grinding teeth, they are developed before the molar teeth. Molars - They are the back teeth and it includes 4 wisdom teeth it grinds what we put in our mouth. 6/6 The digestive system is the part of our body it's the part of our body that enables us to eat and digest our food. The digestive system includes the mouth, esophagus liver,stomach,gall bladder,pancreas,small intestine,large intestine and anus. The functions of each part : Mouth -the first part of the digestive system, where food enters the body. Esophagus - receives food from your mouth when you swallow. Liver - a large organ located above and in front of the stomach. It filters toxins from the blood, and makes bile. Stomach - a sack-like, muscular organ that is attached to the esophagus. When food enters the stomach, it is churned in an acid bath. Gall bladder - a small, sac-like organ located by the duodenum. It stores and releases bile into the small intestine. Pancreas - The pancreas produces a juice containing several enzymes that break down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in food. Large intestine - the long, wide tube that food goes through after it goes theough the small intestine. Small intestine - The duodenum is largely responsible for the continuous breaking-down process, with the jejunum and ileum mainly responsible for absorption of nutrients into the blood stream. Anus - the opening at the end of the digestive system from which feces exit the body. |
